Luxurious Historical Home - King Bed, Office, Chef's Kitchen

My entire family greatly enjoyed the house's comfort and access to surrounding areas. Positive: The house was comfortable, well-equipped, beautiful, and tastefully updated in an eye toward historical preservation. The location was excellent. Despite being so near the airport, the neighborhood was quite peaceful and relatively quiet. Negative: Access from the driveway to the doors was a challenge for my mobility-inhibited elderly parents. Some rails for the front steps would have helped.

Positive: This incredibly maintained historically registered craftsman was just stunning! I was a little concerned if it would be "old" but the modern updates - kept in the style of the era- were perfect. The kitchen was especially lovely and we were able to prep our Thanksgiving dishes like pros. Location was quite nice at the end of short street, and close enough for walk to Balboa. And the owner was equally lovely - responsive and considerate. Absolutely would recommend Negative: Note- be aware there are quite a few steps that lead up to the door. Also, it's a little tight to turn car around as you leave.

Loved it so much! Quickly felt like home, would certainly visit again! Positive: Beautiful historic home, plenty of bedrooms, great neighborhood, thoughtfully decorated and furnished Negative: When we arrived the owner (Gabe, very nice & helpful!) met us to let us know that the washer had broken and wasn’t yet repaired. It wasn’t a huge problem, although we did have to go find a laundromat after a few days.
