Golden Hill Serenity near All Things San Diego!

We had a lovely long stay, and would for sure book here again! Gabe was so dedicated and made sure to check in constantly to make sure we felt at home. Home was comfy and clean, totally recommend it

This was our first VRBO, so we were a bit nervous. There weren't many reviews for this property, so I figured the host might be inexperienced, but when some extra charges were on the original invoice I reached out to Gabe, and he quickly fixed it. Turns out Gabe has numerous properties and is a very experienced, helpful, efficient and friendly host. Instructions for check-in were crystal clear, timely, and highlighted the big gotcha (bring the keys into the garage!). Beyond that, the unit was exactly as advertised. It was very clean. It had the basic cooking supplies, a full size fridge, stove, and microwave. The location is amazing. It's just a couple blocks to Balboa Park, and less than a mile to multiple freeway ramps, and downtown San Diego. It's also extremely close to airport (less than 2 miles?). The San Diego airport is right in the heart of the city, so you will see planes constantly no matter where you are. As with many homes in California, there is no central A/C, but he has a floor unit that (given a couple hours) does an effective job. It also blocks the airplane noise. Which, surprisingly, we didn't really hear in the unit anyway. The building was quiet. We saw a few people, and many cars left and returned to the underground parking lot each day, but we really felt like we had the whole building to ourselves because it was quiet. I would definitely recommend Gabe and this VRBO if you're looking for a studio unit in the heart of San Diego.
